Ready for the best healthy re-creation of Milk and Cereal Bars that we all loved so much as kids? This go-around @stellaandcobakes incorporates a healthier frosting with coconut butter, coconut milk or yogurt, and maple syrup. The best part though? Prep and clean-up are crazy easy 🙌
Line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
In a large bowl combine two cups of cereal. Set aside.
Heat cashew butter and maple syrup in the microwave or over the stovetop for 30 seconds - you want it to be fairly hot - almost boiling.
Carefully stir the wet mixture into the cereal. Combine thoroughly.
Press the combined mixture firmly into the loaf pan.
Prepare milk/frosting by heating coconut butter to soften and stir in coconut milk and maple syrup. Pour over the top of the cereal bars.
Freeze to set for 2 hours.
Store in your refrigerator or freezer.
You need (makes 6-7):
For the cereal base:
4 tbsp maple syrup
1/2C cashew butter (sub with any nut butter)
2 cups grain-free cereal (sub with cereal of choice)
For the milk topping:
1/4C Coconut Butter
1/4C full fat coconut milk or plain yogurt
1/4C maple syrup (sub with powdered sugar)
Your fave Supernatural Sprinkles (Starfetti shown in photos)
